Gay Marriage: Politicians plotting a vain thing

It's been a while since I have written, so I hope this finds you well.
- James

Below I have copied and pasted an article featured in Newsday from June 20, 2007, "Gay marriage bill adopted by Assembly." After that you will see my comments and thoughts on that matter.

Gay marriage bill adopted by Assembly

BY JAMES T. MADORE

June 20, 2007, 12:21 AM EDT
ALBANY -- For the first time in state history, a bill legalizing gay marriage was debated publicly in one of the houses of the State Legislature Tuesday.

The measure, introduced at the behest of Gov. Eliot Spitzer, was adopted by the Assembly, 85-61. But the bill was expected to die in the Senate, where it wasn't even scheduled for a floor debate.

"We're not doing gay marriage by [tomorrow's adjournment], that's for sure," said Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno (R-Brunswick), before the debate in the Democratic-controlled Assembly.

Still, the three-hour debate represented a victory of sorts because some Assembly members would've preferred not taking up the issue. And Spitzer, a Democrat, lobbied intensely for the debate, sources said.

Massachusetts is the only state to recognize same-sex unions, and it did so through a court decision.

New York is one of five states that doesn't define marriage as being between a man and a woman. Unable to marry, same-sex couples are denied medical decision-making authority, inheritance rights and the ability to adopt children as a couple, said the Empire State Pride Agenda, an advocacy group.

In Tuesday night's debate, Assemb. Daniel O'Donnell (D-Manhattan) urged passage of the bill he introduced for the governor, saying, "This doesn't force anyone to do anything. ... It's about giving out the license, not conducting the marriage."

O'Donnell, who is gay and a brother of actress Rosie O'Donnell, emphasized that the bill would not compel clergy to perform same-sex marriages.

Assemb. Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn), an Orthodox Jew, replied by suggesting incestuous couples be recognized along with those of the same sex. "There are certain things that do not change for me unless God sends a message to me," he said.

Lawmakers laughed a few minutes later when they heard thunder from a passing rainstorm.

Hikind and others pointed to a Cornell University poll showing 52 percent oppose legalizing gay marriage.

Assemb. Deborah Glick (D-Manhattan), a lesbian, said, "This is about ... protecting family. This isn't about forcing other people to change their religious beliefs."

My thoughts:

Governor Eliot Spitzer promised to push a gay marriage bill as part of his platform and rushed it for a vote into the Assembly. He knew that it would pass in the Democratic-controlled Assembly but knew it had no chance in the Republican-controlled New York State Senate.

This was a statement, nothing more...for now. Spitzer made his point loud and clear. He is serious about getting gay marriage passed in New York State and this is just the first step. If the Dems ever get control of the Senate, gay marriage in New York will be inevitable. With the likelihood of a few aging and retiring Senators, especially here on Long Island, it has a shot. I fear New York may be in big trouble if things keep heading down the same path.

Homosexuals do not want to be equal and they do not want to be married. They want to be accepted. They want to ease their conscience. They feel that by forcing the issue and making themselves heard, and heard loudly, that eventually people will be forced to accept their lifestyles and those of us (me for instance), who believe that homosexuality is a sin and a "lifestyle" that God calls an abomination, should be silenced and perhaps eventually persecuted for "hate speech." It's not a lifestyle folks, it's a deathstyle. Those who participate in homosexual sex are putting their lives in jeopardy. For that matter, those who participate in heterosexual sex outside of marriage (one man and one woman) are putting their lives in jeopardy.

Those pushing the homosexual agenda scream intolerance. But why don't they tolerate Christians who believe what the Bible says about homosexuality? Isn't that intolerance on their part? It's a catch-22.

And hate speech? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the complete opposite of hate speech. It is the greatest book of love ever written. God is love, but He is also just and righteous. And to be just and righteous, God must call things as they are - and no matter how you spin it, homosexuality is sin.

Sorry if the condemnation of sin, all forms of sin, is now considered hate speech. If that's hate speech - then I'm guilty.

Murder is sin. Did I offend Charles Manson? Pedophilia is sin. Does that offend a child molester? Theft is sin. Does that offend a burglar? Cheating on your husband or wife is sin. Did I offend an adulterer? Get my point?

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 states, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."

I applaud Dov Hikind, a Democratic Assemblyman from Brooklyn who stood against this attempt to go against God's clear teaching throughout the Bible that homosexuality is an abomination.

Leviticus 18 and Romans 1 clearly state what God thinks about homosexuality: calling it an abomination (Leviticus 18) and shameful (Romans 1). I recommend reading both, especially Romans 1, the whole chapter.

I know this is kind of lengthy, so if you took the time to read it, I appreciate it. With that said, I'd like to end this with one more comment.

In the article above, I found a very interesting sentence,
"Lawmakers laughed a few minutes later when they heard thunder from a passing rainstorm."

Very interesting - guess they thought it was funny that at the exact moment they were plotting a vain thing, thunder claps were heard. Coincidence? I don't believe in coincidences. However, you must decide. It does remind me of these verses in Psalms 2:1-6:

"Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His anointed,
saying,
'Let us break their bonds in pieces
And cast away their cords from us.'
He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The LORD shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
'Yet I shall set My King
On My holy hill of Zion."

This was originally posted on February 13, but just now as I was cleaning up the blog it got erased...thankfully I had a copy...

Wednesday, February 14, 2007 10:24 PM

Ok, so, I sent an email to my elected officials on the Federal level, US Senators, Congressman, etc., regarding the use of the Quran during swearing-in ceremonies for elected officials.

The reason for my concern was because Keith Ellison, a Muslim from Minnesota who was elected to represent Minnesota's 5th Congressional District, wanted to be sworn in on the Quran.

Anyone who is somewhat familiar with the Quran knows that it is a book of wanton death, destruction and violence. As well as a book that is riddled with contradictions - unlike the Holy Bible, a book that has never been proven wrong.

I sent emails to US Senators Hillary Clinton (ugh), Chuck Schumer and Representative Tim Bishop.

Even though it was a form letter sent out to probably thousands who shared the same concerns, Bishop was the only one to actually respond to my concern, Clinton and Schumer sent a general out-of-office email or "thank you for contacting us," blah, blah, blah.

Anyway, so here is Congressman Bishop's response (below), followed by my response to his response.

Enjoy...

Mr. James Montalto

Dear Mr. Montalto,

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns regarding the use of
religious scripture during swearing-in ceremonies for public officials.
It is important for me to have the benefit of your views, and I
appreciate the time you have taken to contact me.

The first bill passed by Congress in 1789 was the Oath Act, which
defined a simple oath of office: "I do solemnly swear that I will
support the Constitution of the United States."  The oath was later
expanded to include a loyalty clause.  Today, members of Congress, as a
group, raise their right hands to affirm the oath of office while the
Speaker of the House administers it.  No book of scripture is necessary.
Those members who wish to may choose to have a separate, private,
oath-taking ceremony with a form of religious scripture, such as the
Bible.

I strongly believe that the Federal Government and its elected officials
must follow the Constitution, which guarantees in Article Six that "no
religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office
or public trust under the United States."  The separation of church and
state is a principle cherished by all Americans.

While I hold great respect for the Bible and its teachings, I believe
that mandating its use for swearing-in ceremonies would be
unconstitutional and a violation of the religious freedom our country
was founded upon.

Thank you again for sharing your views.  If I can be of further
assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.  For more information
and to find out about other important issues that I am working on in
Congress, I urge you to visit my website at

Sincerely,

Timothy Bishop

Member of Congress

Now my response...

February 13, 2007

Dear Congressman Bishop,

I appreciate your returning my email. However, I must take issue with something you have written in your email, "The separation of church and state is a principle cherished by all Americans."

With all due respect, Congressman, separation of church and state is a fallacy. It is found nowhere in the Constitution of the United States. Nowhere. The First Amendment's Establishment Clause expressly forbids Congress from setting up a national religion. As you are aware, I am not a member of Congress; and also as you are aware, sir, asking newly elected members of Congress to be sworn in on the Bible is not establishing a national religion. So, Congress could require that all newly elected representatives be sworn in on the Bible.

The lie of separation of church and state continues and I am disheartened that an elected official of your stature would either believe and/or propagate it. Separation of church and state was mentioned in a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists in Connecticut in the year 1803. In the context used, Mr. Jefferson was trying to keep the government from infringing upon the rights of the church. Sadly, it has now taken on a new and incorrect meaning.

Since this land was founded on the principles of the Holy Scriptures, requiring our elected officials to place their hand on the Bible would not be an establishment of religion by Congress. I do, however, understand that it has long been a tradition and is not a requirement to gain office.

We are living in different times now and to allow someone to be sworn in on the Quran, in our once great nation, that was founded upon Biblical principles is despicable. Do you know what it says in the Quran? Statements that state believers in Allah, the Islamic deity, should kill the infidels and idolaters. Do you know who Islam defines as infidels and idolaters? Jews and Christians. Here are just a few quotes from the Quran, that once you read them, perhaps you will gain understanding.

- Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush.  (Koran 9:5)

- A Muslim may not be killed if he kills a non-Muslim (Al Bukhari Vol 9:50)

- O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk." [al-Ma'idah 5:51.11]

- Mohammed said, “The last hour will not come before the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims kill them.” (Mishkat Al Masabih Sh.M. Ashraf pp.147, 721, 810-11, 1130)

- [9.73] O Prophet! strive hard [make war] against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination.

- Allah has cursed them (the Jews) on account of their unbelief; so little it is that they believe. (Koran 2:88)

Disturbing isn't it?

What happens if a Satanist is ever elected to office? Do we allow him or her to place the right hand on Anton LaVey's Satanic Bible?

Or a witch? Do we allow him or her to place the right hand on a book of Wiccan spells?

The Bible should be the only book that is used for all swearing in ceremonies. If they do not wish to use the Holy Scriptures, then they are not required to use a book.

No other book than the Bible has stood up to the test of scrutiny.

No other book has helped found a nation.

No other book is the basis for our legal system.

No other book is the basis for our system of government.

I respectfully ask that you consider my points and fight for the truth.

Sincerely,

James Montalto

Media Bias

Just an observation...

Media bias

Did you ever notice how the mainstream media chooses a side through the words and connotations they use?

For instance:

If a person supports abortion, then he or she is pro-choice. (a positive connotation)

If a person supports life, then he or she is anti-abortion. ( a negative connotation)

It should be those who support life are PRO-LIFE and those who support abortion should be PRO-ABORTION...I guess PRO-DEATH OF CHILDREN would be a little extreme...maybe extreme, but certainly true.

Ever notice the hypocrisy of those so-called peace activists or anti-war protestors? One minute they will hold signs and scream for American soldiers to stop killing Iraqi children (which of course they do not) AND THEN the next minute they will march in a pro-abortion rally. What hypocrisy! You are either against the murder of children or you are not!

God help humanity!

Brings to mind the scripture, Isaiah 5:20:

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

Maranatha, Lord Jesus! Come quickly!

Paganism & Presidential Politics

Should Obama be our next president? Should we vote for him? Read my article below to determine the answer to that question...

Paganism & Presidential Politics
By James Montalto

Judging by the amount of media coverage of the 2008 presidential campaign, one would believe that the election is closer than 20 months away. Regardless, it seems that the mainstream media has already chosen its “darling,” Illinois Junior Senator Barack Hussein Obama.

According to the latest polls, Obama is the second most popular Democratic hopeful for the 2008 presidential election trailing only Senator Hillary Clinton, but quickly gaining ground.

After just two years in the U.S. Senate and eight in the Illinois State Senate, is Obama qualified to be Commander-in-Chief? His relative inexperience isn’t deterring the left from jumping on the “Barack Bandwagon.” Nor is his experience the problem. Outwardly, he is a smooth talking, clean-cut, fairly attractive, charismatic orator.

Should we choose our leaders based on outward appearance? For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7b)

Since only God can look at Obama’s heart, we, as believers in the Messiah, Jesus Christ, must discern by the fruits. (Matthew 7:16-17)

Jesus also warns us to be on guard against wolves in sheep’s clothing. So, what are the fruits of this politician? Is Obama a wolf in sheep’s clothing?

Obama on Abortion

As a member of the Illinois State Legislature, Obama worked to preserve the availability of abortion during all nine months of a pregnancy, vehemently opposed a ban on partial birth abortion (partial delivery up to the head; forceps used to open the skull; brain matter suctioned out and then the skull crushed) and voted against parental notification for a minor who seeks an abortion.

What does the Bible say about this issue? Psalm 139 says God knew us before we were formed in our mother’s wombs and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Jeremiah 1:4-5, Isaiah 44:1-2, Job 10:8-12, Psalm 22:9-10, Psalm 119:73 and Luke 1:39-44 all clearly state that life begins at conception. Exodus 21:22-25 explains the penalties for causing a woman to give birth prematurely - causing harm to the infant - thus proving that God values the life of an unborn child as much as fully formed man.

In Exodus 20:13, the Bible also clearly warns we are not to murder, and since life begins at conception – those who commit abortion are committing murder.

The Lord hates hands that shed innocent blood. (Proverbs 6:17)

According to statistics provided by The Center For Bio-Ethical Reform, 46 million babies are murdered worldwide every year. Their innocent blood cries out to God, just as Abel’s did in Genesis 4:10.

Their innocent blood is on anyone who has an involvement in the process: doctors, legislators, judges and anyone in between, including the voters. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)

Obama also opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA) on three different occasions. BAIPA is a bill designed to protect babies born alive after a botched abortion requiring them to receive proper medical attention.

Obama said in last year’s “Call To Renewal” address, that although he “may be opposed to abortion for religious reasons,” he would not seek a law to ban the practice because abortion isn’t offensive to all faiths or those with no faith. He is either a liar or does not have the courage to stand on his own convictions. Either choice is frightening.

A member of the United Church of Christ, Obama does not believe in the inerrancy of the Bible; believes in abortion, homosexual marriage and the rights of same sex couples, promotes the fallacy of “separation of church and state,” (a term that appears nowhere in the Constitution and has been reinvented by liberals), supports embryonic stem cell research, social and environmental justice, sex education for elementary school children, distribution of condoms, etc. He is the epitome of a secular humanist.

Obama on Marriage

The presidential hopeful repeatedly voted against bills upholding the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman, including the Marriage Protection Amendment. Jesus said He created them male and female from the beginning of creation, that marriage is between one man and one woman and that homosexual activity of any ilk is an abomination to Him. (Leviticus 18:22)

Romans 1 says women burned with lust for women and men for men, “committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”

The penalties occurring from homosexual sex are venereal diseases, broken hearts and ruined families. “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

God gave the gift of sex to be enjoyed in the sanctity of marriage between a man and his wife. “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” (Hebrews 13:4)

Our children need to be taught that abstinence and moral sex is the only answer for AIDS. 1 Corinthians 6:9 tells us that those who participate in homosexual sex, fornication (sex outside of marriage) or any type of immoral sex will not inherit God’s kingdom.

Speaking of social issues such as AIDS, Obama has allied himself with Saddleback Church Pastor Rick Warren and Bishop T.D. Jakes of prosperity doctrine fame.

On the surface addressing AIDS seems a noble task. However, what is the purpose of addressing it when God’s laws are not involved? The only way to truly stop the disease is to follow His word.

Warren, the self-proclaimed America’s pastor, even went as far to lend his pulpit to Obama to speak at a Global Summit on AIDS. What does a pastor of a so-called Christian church have to do with a man with the track record of Obama? We are not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. (2 Corinthians 6:14)

Warren should never have allowed Obama to speak from his pulpit. Although it’s not surprising considering Warren is a forerunner of the seeker-friendly mega-church.

Obama and Israel

As State Senator, Obama attended pro-Palestinian fundraisers. Ali Abunimah, a Chicago-based Palestinian activist who supports a two-state solution said that Obama was “progressive regarding Israel and Palestine.”

God warned about dividing the land given to the Jews in the Abrahamic Covenant as told in Genesis 15:18.

In Joel 3, the Lord clearly states that He will judge the nations that divide and plunder His covenant land and protect the remnant of His people, Israel.

God also told Abraham that through his seed, He would bless all the families of the earth and that whosoever blesses Israel will be blessed and whosoever curses Israel will be cursed. (Genesis 12:1-3)

As Christians, it is vital to cast our ballot for a candidate who understands that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable and that He has not cast aside Israel. (Romans 11)

When prayerfully considering who to vote for in this and every election, compare each candidate’s statements and voting record against the Scriptures to see if he or she measures up. In so doing, you can make the proper choice by electing a God-fearing, God-honoring representative.

Evolution Sunday

Read this...it's good for your mind...

The Bible and Evolution: A Lethal Combination

By James Montalto

Recently through a nationwide church-sponsored event, the secular media and enemies of the Gospel were given further opportunity to marginalize the authority of God’s word through Evolution Sunday.

This past February 11, more than 600 congregations across the United States participated in Evolution Sunday as a way to mesh evolutionary dogma with belief in the Bible. This date was chosen to coincide [as closely as possible] to Charles Darwin’s birthday (February 12).

Headlines such as “Reason, faith together for one Sunday,” [as if reason and faith were mutually exclusive] “Evolution Sunday links science and religion” and “Believers accepting evolution” bombarded readers the following Monday, and further confused society on the Bible’s position regarding origins.

Additionally, professing Christians are further confused and indoctrinated into believing the claims of the unproven theory of naturalistic evolution as opposed to God’s clear teaching.

Evolution Sunday is the brainchild of a dean at Indiana’s Butler College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, who began a campaign called the “Clergy Letter Project,” whereby members of clergy from a variety of denominations signed an online petition supporting the teaching of evolutionary science in an attempt to show how faith in the Bible and evolution are supposedly compatible. An excerpt from the letter states:

We believe that the theory of evolution is a foundational scientific truth, one that has stood up to rigorous scrutiny and upon which much of human knowledge and achievement rests. To reject this truth or to treat it as ‘one theory among others’ is to deliberately embrace scientific ignorance and transmit such ignorance to our children.”

Transmitting scientific ignorance to our children? Propagating an unproven theory that clearly has not stood the test of scrutiny is a large part of the problem with today’s culture, as well as those who attempt to blend the truths of the Bible with the ideas of fallible men. That is embracing scientific ignorance.

Charles Darwin popularized the theory of evolution in his landmark 1859 book, “On the Origin of the Human Species By Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.” Favored races? The Bible teaches that God has made all nations from one blood (Acts 17:26). There is no room for racism in God’s word, and to celebrate a man like Darwin and his heretical teachings from the pulpit is despicable.

Since its publication, the foundations of the Gospel of Jesus Christ have been shaken and faith in the Bible has whittled away. (Psalm 11:3) “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Well for one, the righteous, those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, can stand up for the truth and not compromise the faith to the godless academia.

Evolutionary science states that the universe was created with a big bang between four and six billion years ago and the earth and everything in it is a product of random chance, breaking nearly every law of physical science, including the law of biogenesis and the second law of thermodynamics; the Bible, on the other hand, states that God created the earth and all living things in six days, approximately 6,000 years ago, according to Biblical timelines and genealogies.

As followers of Christ, who are we to believe? A liberal theologian or atheistic scientist who believes that God is so wasteful and incompetent that he would need billions and billions of years of death and destruction in order to create what we have today? Or, shall we believe Jesus Christ, who created Heaven and earth in six days like the Bible states? (Romans 3:4) “Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”

Jesus Christ said in Mark 10:6, “But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.”

Who are we to believe? Was the beginning of creation, when Jesus Christ made them male and female? Like the Lord said? Or was it billions of years ago, when the first piece of pond scum miraculously came alive, found something to mate with and eventually became all of the beautiful varieties and species of things we see today?

It sounds like it takes more faith to believe in “From goo-to-you via the zoo” evolution, than it does to believe that Christ created everything approximately 6,000 years ago in six days time. No one has ever witnessed one type of animal changing into another, so the Genesis account where God created everything after its kind is consistent with empirical science and how only animals, plants and people can reproduce after their respective kinds.

Not to mention that the Bible clearly states death came through Adam’s sin (Romans 5:12) “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.”

There is absolutely no compatibility between the unproven theory of evolution and the never disproved Word of God. The Bible states death and sin came after Adam disobeyed God, bringing a curse on God’s once perfect creation.

Evolution teaches that death has been a part of the universe since the beginning of time – that life has come through an endless cycle of death and rebirth, death and rebirth, until finally by random chance everything we see today has come together in perfect working order.

Churches that participate in Evolution Sunday and compromise the truth, in actuality are teaching that God is a liar. He would have to be if He created mankind on top of billions of years of death and suffering and called it “good” and “very good” as in the book of Genesis.

The problem stems from unbelief. Many churches and professing Christians have been so indoctrinated and brainwashed into the unproven theory of evolution that they doubt many parts of the Bible. For instance, passages that are hard for our minds to fathom are instantly spiritualized. Once again, the Lord Jesus Christ said in both Matthew and Mark, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

When was the last time an evolutionist spoke a word and created a planet? Or even a lake?

Design speaks of a designer, not of random chance over a long period of time.

Speaking of evolutionists, the leading anthropologist Sir Arthur Keith summed it up spectacularly and truthfully when he said, “Evolution is unproved and unprovable. We believe it only because the only alternative is special creation, and that is unthinkable.”

Men have been suppressing truth in righteousness since Cain killed Abel and there is no difference today. Fallible men, under the veil of so-called science, teach their godless theory and begin the indoctrination of children of all ages. (Romans 1:18-23)

To all of the churches participating in Evolution Sunday: you are compromisers of the truth and are doing God a disservice. Evolution and the Bible are not compatible and, as followers of Jesus Christ, the Bible must be the standard to what all other theories are held. If it does not fit with scripture, it must be discarded. The Bible has never been proven wrong. Never.

Compromising the truth to appease the evolutionary community is not consistent with the words of Christ and is not something that the people who name Christ’s name should do. The Bible is not against science. In fact, it is the most pro-science document ever written. There are many great organizations and websites that hold scripture as the ultimate authority and contend for the faith of Jesus Christ from the very first verse. For those who seek the truth regarding origins, Answers in Genesis is recommended.

Galatians 1:8,9 “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.”

Our job on earth is not to please men, but to please Christ. Denying His words and agreeing with God’s enemies, is not something a true follower of Christ should do or even consider. Galatians 1:10 “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”
